What Chandrayaan-3 lander & rover will do after Moon touchdown

India's Chandrayaan-3 mission is set to land on the Moon's surface on Wednesday, marking a major achievement for the country. After landing, the rover will begin its operations for one lunar day, collecting data from its instruments. The lander will also carry out measurements and study the lunar crust and mantle. The mission aims to explore the unexplored lunar South Pole, with the hope of finding evidence of water, which could potentially be a valuable source of clean energy.

A new UN report reveals that approximately 140 women and girls were killed daily by partners or family members in 2023, totaling around 51,100 victims globally. The home remains the most dangerous place for women, with Africa experiencing the highest number of such killings.

Long-term benefit from anti-hormonal treatment is influenced by menopausal status: Study

"Younger women generally have a higher risk of recurrence than older postmenopausal women, but most studies on anti-hormonal therapy have mainly included postmenopausal women. We therefore wanted to compare the long-term benefit from the treatment in both groups," says Linda Lindstrom, associate professor and research group leader at the Department of Oncology-Pathology, Karolinska Institutet, who led the study.
