Alligators and crocodiles, both belonging to different families within the Crocodylia genus, exhibited distinct traits despite their similarities. Key differences included snout shape, visibility of teeth, skin color, behavior, feet structure, and habitat preference. Alligators had U-shaped snouts and were less aggressive, while crocodiles possessed V-shaped snouts and were more territorial.
