
Astronomers have revealed the detection of a third planet in the Kepler-47 system, elevating its status as one of the most captivating binary-star systems. This recent revelation, based on observations from NASA’s Kepler space telescope, was spearheaded by a team from San Diego State University. Dubbed Kepler-47d, the newfound planet falls in size between Neptune and Saturn, orbiting amidst two planets already known in the system.
